Get To Know Your Bicycle Workshop on Sat 19th June

Celebrate National Bike Week with Greener Kirkcaldy! We are  holding a FREE Get To Know Your Bicycle  Workshop on Saturday 19th June, from 10am-1pm.

Greener Kirkcaldy staff actively promote cycling for everyday transport and have teamed up with Bikeworks Fife with the aim of helping you keep your bike in good shape.  What better way to celebrate National Bike Week 19-27 June, than by learning to confidently tinker with your 10-speed or patch a tyre?

Basic bike maintenance for both road and mountain bikes include:

  • Changing tyres and puncture repair
  • Oiling, cleaning and maintaining chains
  • Basic gear and brake adjustment
  • Tool kit advice
  • Tips on a regular cleaning regime to keep your cycle running smoothly, save wear and tear on components, not to mention embarrassment and long walks home.
